Aims & Focus

All of our school workshops follow the same format but cover different topics within the curriculum. The workshops begin at 1pm and finish at 4pm and are held at the Cavendish Laboratory.

Each workshop will follow the same format but will be subject specific with

  • an introductory session,
  • practical circus or experiment
  • and research based lecture linking the science the topic of the workshop to the cutting edge.

We host workshops for both KS4 (14-16) and KS3 students (11-13 yrs). The KS4 workshops are typically held at the end of March and the KS3 workshops the second week in December.

60 free places are available to any schools but £5 per student head booked will be charged if a school cancels 1 week before the workshop or simply fails to attend.

You can book for our upcoming workshops by clicking on this link to book. If the deadline for bookings has passed then only subsequent dates will be available.
