50th Anniversary of the Double Helix

DNA is the molecule which carries the genetic code, the 'secret of life'. The information stored in DNA is used to build and operate our bodies. To understand how this information is stored and used we need to know more about the DNA molecule.

In 1953, Francis Crick and James Watson discovered the structure of DNA at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge. These web pages were created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this discovery and include:
