This will be the 25th annual Physics at Work Exhibition in Cambridge and to celebrate this Silver Jubilee anniversary we are holding a "design a logo competition" for students in years 7, 8 and 9.
We would like their logo to include the title "Physics at Work" and to get across the ideas that it is:

Varied careers/uses of physics in the real world (information about types of exhibits can be found on our 2008 exhibitor page.
We will need 2 different logos for this year:
One that will be made into a pin badge - called Badge Competition (3cm x 8cm or 4cm x 4cm)
One which will appear on our publicity material and booklet - called Booklet Competition (2.5cm x 2.5cm)
Students may enter either or both competitions. The design should be drawn or printed in the appropriate box which is the maximum size allowed for each of the two competitions and an annotated enlarged version illustrating different aspects of the design should also be submitted on A3 paper (see entry form for more details and example here). When completing entries please note that the shape of your logo is up to you. They do not have to be squares or rectangles - but your logo must fit in one of the boxes in your chosen competition (example here).
Please print off this entry form so that there is one form per entry and ensure that students read the instructions on the form carefully.
Deadline for entry is 1st June 2009.
Prizes
The winner of the two competitions will each receive a popular book on physics and be invited along with their teacher and guardians to the Gala Evening of Physics At Work on Wednesday 16th September where they can meet the exhibitors. They will also receive a copy of our promotional material with their logo in print or as a badge.
